Ingredients:*

- 2 ripe bananas

- 1/4 cup almond butter (can substitute with peanut butter)

- 1 cup dark chocolate chips or chopped dark chocolate

- Optional toppings: chopped almonds, shredded coconut, sea salt flakes

Instructions:

1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.

2. Peel the bananas and slice them into thin rounds, about 1/4 inch thick. Arrange the banana slices in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Place the baking sheet in the freezer for about 30 minutes to firm up the banana slices.

3. While the bananas are chilling, melt the dark chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl or over a double boiler until smooth and completely melted. Stir in the almond butter until well combined.

4. Remove the baking sheet from the freezer. Using a spoon or spatula, spread the melted chocolate and almond butter mixture evenly over the chilled banana slices, creating a thin layer.

5. If desired, sprinkle chopped almonds, shredded coconut, or a pinch of sea salt flakes over the top of the chocolate-covered bananas.

6. Return the baking sheet to the freezer and let the bark set for at least 1 hour, or until firm.

7. Once the bark is completely firm, break it into pieces or cut it into squares using a sharp knife.

8. Serve the banana, almond butter, and chocolate bark immediately, or store it in an airtight container in the freezer for up to two weeks.

Enjoy this delicious and nutritious treat as a snack or dessert!
